DANSK REDERI A/S is a well established Danish Shipowning Company, specialized in Bulk Carriers, managing and owning cargo vessels, often in joint venture with third party.
Safety, protection of the marine environment as well as cost efficiency are main objectives for all our services.
History
DANSK REDERI A/S was founded back in 1941 by Captain Hans Peter Lauritsen and Ship Owner Svend Åge Hansen Lauritsen, later owned by the late Authorized Shipbroker Hilding Bidsted, founder of Bidsted & Co., and from 1970’s headed by Mr. Michael Holm.
The first 3 vessels owned by the company, back in the 40ties, were about 250 tons dwt; in the 70ties and 80ties, the size of the tonnage grew to 2.000 upto 20.000 tons, and today the size of our 4 Bulk Carriers wearies from 33.000 up to 70.000 tons dwt, trading on time charter for shorter or longer period to overseas or local Charterers. The company further owns stakes in other vessels, managed by associated companies.
